Ty received his Ph.D. in Food Science from North Carolina State University and has more than ten years of experience with protein functionality in food systems. He is passionate about understanding and communicating the intersections among food science, technology, sustainability, and health. At Perfect Day, Ty leads the Ingredient Innovation team to showcase how fermentation-derived proteins function in many different food systems and is creating a pipeline of new functional ingredients to help customers unlock new applications.
